5 Fall Style Tips

Meet our in-house stylist, Emilee Anne.

Meet Emilee Anne, our in-house lead stylist, who shares in our love for all things vintage. She was born with an innate eye for design and then further honed her creative intuition by attending Parsons School of Design in 2012, and spending her early professional years designing jewelry for Marc Jacobs and Kate Spade.

Emilee is always on the hunt for timeless clothing pieces that feel modern and fresh. Her approach to fashion styling has been inspired by femininity over the decades. She's especially intrigued by fashion from the 1950s and 60s, when women were passionate about polished looks from head-to-toe, even on days when they didn't leave the house! She has a deep appreciation for the details, which sure comes into play when it’s time to accessorize. Em agrees that vintage jewelry gives an outfit it's soul.

With the launch of our first women’s clothing collection, Emilee worked her magic pairing our new feminine clothing pieces with our vintage jewelry collection. Below she's sharing her top five style tips for this fall.

TIP #1 Statement Sleeves

Shop our bell sleeve top from Sweet & Spark!

As we transition into cooler temperatures, the current off-shoulder trend won't be as wearable so our new love for fall is for statement sleeves. The two bell sleeve tops in our current clothing collection are favorites, especially the statement lace sleeve on this one. Also, we love the cold shoulder trend when the fabric is drapey enough to flatter your arms. That's why we picked this pretty one to be in our clothing collection!

TIP #2 Brooch A Top

When it comes to styling vintage brooches, we consider ourselves #broochit pros. We love it when the weather starts to get crisp because heavier fabrics are some of the best canvases for brooches. Brooches are the ultimate style statement and really standout when worn on solid colors. We love the two ribbed tops in our clothing collection because the fabric is sturdy enough to hold a small to medium sized brooch.

TIP #3 Pop A Print With Statement Earrings

Statement blue crawler earrings from Sweet & Spark.

Statement earrings are another trend still going strong! As we start wearing higher necklines and more all over printed dresses and tops, try popping a multi colored print with a coordinating pair of crawler style earrings. Coming down from the summer drop earring trend, which took over the internet, crawlers feel like a fresh update to the statement earring trend!

TIP #4 Invest In A Silk Cami

Shop floral lace silk camis from Sweet & Spark!

shop: camis/ vintage earrings

Our floral lace silk cami comes in both an off white and dusty rose color and should be a must have on your fall shopping list. It's so versatile! Our team has been wearing them more than we expected. We're wearing them on their own with a pair of statement earrings now and can't wait to pair with cardigans and sweaters later this season. They are 100% silk but don't need to be dry cleaned; you can hand wash them in cold water. We promise this will be one of those to file under, "best purchases ever."

TIP #5 Stock Up On Jewelry Box Staples

Lace bell sleeve top and gold bangles from Sweet & Spark.

When it comes to accessorizing overly detailed tops and dresses, like our lace bell sleeve top, sometimes simple gold hoops and bangles are the best way to polish off the look. When getting dressed in the morning, try picking either a statement piece of clothing or jewelry to build your look around!
