With the weather warming up, we're gravitating towards brightly colored and printed vintage accessories which pop well off of our white eyelet tops in our current clothing collection. Our summer scarf collection just launched this week and highlights a mix of fun geometric, oversized floral and fruit prints. We also are loving iconic souvenir state map prints from warm weather states like Hawaii, Florida and California!

How To Style A Vintage Scarf For Spring

Scarves were an essential accessory found in every women's wardrobe during the 1950s-70s. They make a modern style statement today when coordinated with an outfit as the statement piece. We love adding a pop of color to all the white tops and dresses in our clothing collection this season with a gorgeous print!

To achieve the four scarf styling tricks above, our vintage collection features different sizes, fabrics and prints (but of course, no surprise, florals and pastels are our favorite). See below for the recommended scarf size to use for each of our favorite scarf styling tips for spring.

AS A HEADBAND:

You can use either a square or rectangular scarf to achieve this look. The scarf as modeled in the headband above is 22" x 22" in size.

ON YOUR WRIST:

A 20"- 25" scarf is the most versatile size you can own and was the most popular in the 1960s and 70s. The scarf as modeled around the wrist above is also 22" by 22" in size.

ON YOUR NECK:

Depending on how you tie a knotted a scarf around your neck, you'll want to choose a square one between 17-26" for a classic look. The scarf as modeled around the neck above is 23" by 23" in size. You can also try a rectangular shape here for more of a mod look!

ON A HAT:

This is where a rectangular scarf comes in handy measuring at least 45" along the longest length. The scarf as modeled around the hat above is 51" by 13" size.

Style your favorite one up and let us know how it goes. After all, great art lifts the spirits and should be worn! We are looking forward to trying new ways to wear them in the upcoming seasons too and in the meantime you can find more style inspiration by following us on pinterest.
